Wanderhome.net is a place for people to come together no matter what game they are into at the moment. We are a guild of many, with each guild sharing similar beliefs but maintaining independence at the same time. Each guild has its own leader, name, rules, policies, and organization. Generally speaking we are a light hearted, fun loving group of mature gamers bound by our desire to work together and build lasting friendships. We don’t care where a person lives as we have people from around the globe.
The base of our community came from SWG (Star Wars Galaxies) but since then we have covered a wide range of games and are always open to new ones. At this time our largest game is SW: TOR, followed by Battlefield 3. We figure having a friend around is just always better, no matter where they live.
MMO Guilds
Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, known as MMORPG or MMO for short is perhaps the most diverse game genre ever conceived. Although they share the common thread of gathering many people to interact in a common virtual world, how it achieves this is always different. Some games practically put you on a moving sidewalk, taking from destination to destination, always directing you to your next task. Some give you no guidance whatsoever, leaving you to your imagination and (self reliance) to guide your virtual experience. Wherever on this scale any given MMO may sit, what stays the same is the sense of community people inevitably form as they come together.
Wanderhome.net is a place to keep the constant of community no matter what new MMO may play like. Here we talk, discuss, joke, and keep our little community strong. As new games come along, we stay in touch here and find each other in the new virtual realities that come our way.
Because each MMO is very different from the last we want them to be run primarily independently. This allows the leader of any given guild to not be confined by the decisions of past and present guilds on other games. This is why each games guild has a different name. Each guild may have different leaders, command structures, rules, and policies to allow them to adapt to the uniqueness of the game they are in.
